About This Spot

Stepping into The Palace Station Oyster Bar feels like uncovering a beloved local secret in the heart of Las Vegas—an unpretentious retreat where the rhythms of the city soften into something a bit slower, more intimate. Though nestled within a bustling casino environment, this oyster bar holds a distinct charm that draws a dedicated crowd around the clock. The mood is a blend of familiarity and anticipation, where guests share quiet conversations over a bar lined with gleaming shells and cast-iron pans bubbling with rich, inviting stews.

Here, time seems to pause amid the hum of casual chatter and the clink of glasses, inviting you to savor each bite rather than rush through the experience. The atmosphere—warm, bustling, and, yes, sometimes marked by a patient wait—holds an easygoing honesty you don’t often find in a city known for glitz. Many visitors find themselves drawn not just by the food but by the human moments: the stories shared in line, the friendly nods from longtime staff, and the easy camaraderie between regulars and first-timers alike.

Behind the oyster bar, dishes arrive one by one, each carrying a crafted balance of seafood’s sea-freshness and home-cooked comfort. A steaming pan roast combines the ocean’s bounty—shrimp, crab, lobster—into a creamy, soul-nourishing stew that’s both rich and deeply satisfying, perfectly matched with crusty sourdough. The menu invites discovery with each visit, from robust seafood gumbo to vibrant oyster shooters, reminding you that this place is not simply about eating but about gathering around flavors that feel rooted in time and care.

Though the lines can test patience, the experience beyond the wait is the reward. It’s a place where 24-hour service meets genuine warmth, where locals and travelers alike find a moment to reconnect with the simple joy of well-prepared seafood in thoughtfully crafted recipes. The Palace Station Oyster Bar isn’t just a meal; it’s a chapter in your Las Vegas story where the city’s endless energy meets the quiet joy of sharing something made with heart.

Absolute have to eat here when I visit. The combo pan roast is the best. OG Bob has been there for over 25 yrs since I’ve been going I’m pretty sure. The gumbo is my second favorite. Long lines and can be 2 hour wait at times. Best to go off hours. They are open 24 hrs.

What a gem a must while in Vegas!! Absolutely amazing pan roast and oysters. The lines to this place can get really really long and the wait can be several hours long, even though it may not seem like it....a little over 2 hours to get seated even though there were just 10 people ahead of us as the seats are very limited at the end of the wait you get seated at this bar-restaurant and the delicious aromas tickle your senses and you just devour the meals being served with your eyes and nose... We got a round of oysters, the pan roast combo and it was all absolutely delicious.... I would definitely recommend those dishes! They do have a variety of spice levels available if you are up for a challenge... We had a good time and I would undoubtedly say that the food was totally worth the wait! 100% recommend!

It’s CHOWDAH! Nothing brings me back to life after a long night in Vegas like The Palace Station Oyster Bar. Food is consistently amazing and the staff is A1. This 24/7 operating spot is truly God’s Gift to humanity. Shout out to chef Angel for saving my life with that incredible meal.

I’ve had the Oyster Bar on my list to try for quite some time, so on a recent Vegas trip we decided to go for it. This place lives up to the great reviews and then some and is totally worth the wait in line ( our wait was roughly 45-60 mins on a Thursday at 7ish). We met a nice couple in line who were here from Hawaii who come here every trip and for years. We knew what we wanted by the time our counter seats were ready - Cioppino (hubbies fave) and I got the Lobster/Shrimp Fra Diavolo. Truly “chef’s kiss” on both! My husband was blown away by the Cioppino and their version is now ranked “the best he has ever had”. The Cioppino is served with rice vs. pasta which you generally see at Italian restaurants. My dish was exceptional and had the right level of medium spice. The chef was fun to watch and he is a MASTER at whipping up their dishes. Heather and Steve were warm and welcoming to guests making the whole experience even better. My guess is that any time we visit Vegas now, the hubs will demand a visit here!

a spot that always has a line Pan Roasts Combo Loaded with shrimp, crab, and lobster in a creamy, flavorful stew. Recommended by the server and definitely the highlight of the meal. Rich, comforting, and so good! Steamed Clams The steamer had some issues so they came out more boiled than steamed. Flavor was fine, but nothing too special this time. Oysters on the Half Shell Gulf oysters weren’t quite my type. A little watery and not the texture I usually enjoy.

The culinary experience here is a celebration of refinement and balance-a sophisticated dialogue between East and West, orchestrated with remarkable precision. The menu's highlights, from the delicately seasoned oysters to the velvety seafood soup infused with coconut, evoke the coastal kitchens of Southeast Asia while embracing a contemporary Western sensibility. Each dish reveals an expert command of flavor layering: the subtle sweetness of coconut, the saline depth of the sea, and the restrained heat of aromatic spices, all harmonizing without a single note overpowering another. The pasta offerings are particularly intriguing —an elegant intersection of European technique and Asian soul-while the fried and steamed rice dishes ground the experience in authenticity and comfort. There is an evident respect for traditional ingredients, yet a willingness to reimagine them with modern finesse. Having explored the culinary landscapes of Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, I was astonished to find this level of authenticity and craftsmanship here in Las Vegas. The chef's ability to translate the essence of Far Eastern coastal cuisine into a cosmopolitan context is nothing short of remarkable. Each bite feels both nostalgic and novel-an eloquent expression of global gastronomy executed with passion, precision, and poetic restraint.

It’s located off the Strip. I ended up waiting three hours for it. I got a dozen oysters and the Bouill-Roast. I preferred the small oysters to the big ones; they were sweeter and had more flavor. The Bouill-Roast is very familiar yet so good that you just keep going for it. You can ask them for more bread or rice if you wish.
